Parenting, Schooling & Chasing Joy with Kimberly Coleman

On Today’s episode I have a great conversation with Kimberly Coleman of The Mom in the City Blog. We talk about the delicate balance of being a working mom in 2020. Kimberly is full of great ideas, inspiration and stories from the trenches of parenthood.

If you are interested in getting on the list for Kim’s resources for remote schooling simply give her your email here.

In Cristie’s picks, I share about a planner I have found that just might be the one! In addition, I share how the Ink & Volt Gratitude Journal helps me to keep joy in the forefront.

If you check my link in bio, you can find articles on Wedding Wire, Authority Magazine and Open Journal of Depression about timely topics, like How to Apologize, Using Mindfulness in Stressful Times and of course, my jam, Empowerment as a Protective Factor Against PPD. GIve them a click, and share with friends. I hope something here helps! . . . #authoritymagazine #relationships #weddings #parenting #ppd #postpartum #maternalmentalhealth #mindfulness ...

Joy. It’s practically jumping out of this image. Can you feel it? It seems so easy for kids to access it. I mean, all it took here was a giant hot pretzel. How come we get so far away from it as we age? It’s like life events pile up and become a barrier between daily life and deep joy. It feels especially hard when you know others are suffering. But then, can’t joy be the ultimate tool in the fight against the bad stuff? I’m trying to take back joy, to make it easier to feel happiness more often in my day. I want to access my inner little kid who can remind me there is joy all around. We just have to grab it and strike a pose. Like this guy and his pretzel. What’s your giant pretzel gonna be today? . . . . #mentalhealth #mindset #joy #parenting #shiftyourgaze #wonder ...
